Marcus Ghosh

Group leader

Marcus completed his BSc, PhD and medical degree (MBBS) at University College London before pursuing three postdoctoral fellowships - first at Sorbonné University and then at Imperial College London. In his PhD, he designed a machine-learning tool kit to describe animal behavior at multiple timescales. Across his fellowships, he modelled neural circuits using a range of neural network architectures and learning algorithms. Now, he leads the Neural forms group at Imperial.

Lakshaa Srishankar

Before starting her PhD at Imperial, Lakshaa studied neuroscience at Queen Mary (BSc), and artificial intelligence for biomedicine and healthcare at University College London (MSc). In her PhD, Lakshaa is exploring how single neuron structure influences network dynamics and function. To do so, she is developing new network models which accommodate neurons with complex, diverse morphologies.

Anna Obure

Co-supervised by Dr Florencia Iacaruso (The Crick) and Dr Dan Goodman (Imperial)

Before her PhD, Anna studied computer science (MEng) at the University of Southampton. Her PhD focusses on multisensory learning. She tackles computational questions - like what architectures and learning rules best suit multisensory learning? And makes use of experimental data from mice.

Elliot Slough

Co-supervised by Dr Kirsty Bannister (Imperial)

Prior to his PhD, Elliot studied biomedical science (BSc) at Aston University, trauma science (MSc) at the University of Birmingham and worked as a research assistant. Elliot's PhD combines experimental work in mice with computational modelling, to better understand the neurobiology of pain.
